Please see below the steps we will be undertaking when we can reopen on the 4th July 2020
The Feathers Hotel’s reopening plans and the new guidelines, distancing measures and hygiene practices we will have in place to ensure the safety of both staff and guests.
The hotel will take all reasonable steps to follow the government’s Covid-19 Secure Workplace Guidelines.
New signage and focus points will be added across the hotel to promote hygiene and social distancing.
A new risk-based approach to cleaning will be implemented and all team members will be trained accordingly. Hand sanitizer will be available and visible at several points across the hotel, including communal areas and staff areas.
Breakfast service has been reconsidered and the teams will serve breakfast at guests’ tables. There will be no buffet service with sharing plates or bowls and guests will be requested to book a slot for breakfast.
Dinner reservations will be staggered to ensure social distancing. Tables will be positioned the required distance apart in all dining areas. Guests will be encouraged to pay as they go with regards room charges.
The hotel will endeavour to allow a minimum of 24 hours between the last guest leaving and the next one arriving. All non-essential items, including some decorative and information items have been removed from rooms. Replenishment of towels and linen are available upon request to ensure no-one enters the room unless requested.
Payment for any stays will be taken in full Payment on booking with the usual 48 hour cancellation policy in force.
Check in will be paperless with invoices/booking confirmations being forwarded to guests.
Keys will be cleaned and placed in zip bag for guests to collect. A box will be available for guests to return the keys on checkout. Please be aware that no more than two people at a time will be allowed in reception at one time.
All food will be served in the Gresham Suit where it will be table service only.
To comply with Government legislation on Covid tracking we will require
contact details of all customers. If you are booking a table for more than
one household, we require contact details for everyone.
Food will be served 12.00noon until 2.00pm and 6-9.00pm with last food
orders take at 8.30pm. We will be providing disposable menus but would
recommend that guests take a look at our menus before arriving. We will be serving a full menu and al themed evenings will be reinstated.
Drinks can be ordered and paid for at the bar. The bar area is allocated
for drinking only. You will have to be seated before ordering and will
be shown to any table that may be available. No bookings are being taken in
the bar for drinks only, this will be on a first come, first serve basis.
Our preferred method of payment for both food and drinks will be by card.
